All one has to do is enter Bill's shed to know that he is indeed afflicted with this syndrome. I'm never surprised at what I might run across in that little red shed. I've gone in there months after I've thrown something away only to happen to see it sitting up on a shelf out there. "You never know when we might need it for something." is Bill's reasoning, and I do have to admit, that he has saved the day from time to time by grabbing some little thing that he saved to fix something else.
His latest fix is my 99 cent potato masher. Now I've had that masher for years. Teflon, so it didn't ruin any of my good pans and it always did the trick. Funny thing is, last time my son and his family were over for dinner, my little daughter-in-law told me that she was afraid to use the masher on the big batch of potatoes I had boiled up. Said it didn't seem strong enough to do the job and that it would bend. I just chuckled and we finished the potatoes. All was well until three or four days back. I grabbed that little old masher again and started mashing and sure enough, the handle snapped right off of it! I nearly fell into that pot myself when it happened. Again, I chuckled and told Bill what happened and he came up with a plan. A trip to the shed first and here is the result of the mishap.
Now where can you come up with a stronger more durable masher than this sucker? I think everyone should have a masher with a hatchet handle! Thank you Hon. I shall never say anything about the "junk" in your shed again! Looking at the picture again, please understand that, that fantastic style I'm flaunting is my "puttering" outfit!
Should finish up on "Hare's Another Rabbit" piece this evening. It's just a tiny piece for my spring basket. Isn't he a pretty thing though?
The predicted storms with tornado conditions never came through last night or this morning and it's close to 80 this afternoon with a lovely breeze. Thank you Father for this blessing.
Will let all my faithful followers go for now. Love each and every one of you my friends. Have a day full of blessings, and just remember to, "feel the colors".
