A Great Day

My son, Guy spends just about every Saturday with his son, Matthew.  This gives my little daughter-in-law a few hours of well deserved time just for herself.  Guy and Matt just spend a leisurely day out doing breakfast and/or lunch as well as taking in a movie or shopping or just exploring the area.  Today, they picked me up and I went along with them.  It's always a treat to spend time with them.  We went to a huge flea market and out for a nice lunch.  Off to a little shopping and home again.  Guy takes things slow and easy and Matthew enjoys it all.  I had fun watching Matthew bartering with the vendors at the flea market.  Matt loves his bionics and at one point was going through a huge bin of teeny tiny pieces looking for just the right one.

Once back home it didn't take me long to settle in for a nap with hubby.  I just love a nap and especially when I have a full tummy! Never like to sleep for too long though as I love to get in a little bonding time each day with my stitching chair.  I started the shawl yesterday and here's a picture of what is done so far.  I love the fact that it takes just one skein for the entire shawl and

that the yarn makes the stripes as you knit.  I'm having fun doing it.

It's T.U.S.A.L time again, or as I call it, "snips and bits show off".  A couple of pictures.  Same jar but different views.

More will be added to the jar tomorrow as I'll be working on the wedding gift for my son and his beautiful future bride, Lisa.

Storm is over with in the New England states, but not before deaths were reported.  I pray for the families that lost loved ones.  Glad it's over with and though it will take a few days, eventually everything will be back to normal.

Thank you my sweet followers and friends for stopping in from time to time.  I do love to hear from you and love each and every one of you.  I enjoy visiting with you at your blogs as well.

Until next post, stay well and safe and don't forget to "feel the colors".

    1. Hi Rita~When I was just a little girl I knew a boy in the neighborhood named Guy. It was the one and only one I knew with the name and I always wanted a little boy that I could name Guy also. Seemed like all names went well with Guy so the middle name took a while. We finally decided on Dallas.

Thank you for the compliment on the Valentine picture. I enjoyed making the pillows.

      Come back again soon.
