Finally found some material I could use for a couple of Christmas gifts. It sure is hard to find material in this area that is actually for Christmas. What I did find is actually tiny polka dots and I've decided to use it with both stitched pieces. This first one will be made into a pillow for a dear friend.
This is what I decided to use for the no sew block for the other stitched piece.
And the block all glued and put together in this next one. It was really fun to work up, and I'll be sending this one to my sweet Lisa tomorrow.
I see that I have a new follower! Emma! Welcome and I do hope that you'll visit often. I don't see a blog posted for you, but if you do have one, please let us know so we can come by and visit. So glad you're here.
Oh my goodness! Nearly forgot to mention that I was a recipient of the Liebster
Award. I was very surprised and very happy to receive it. Thank you once again Heather at heathersstitchingstory.blogspot. I'm hoping to improve my blogging little by little so that it will be a fun and friendly blog to read.
As I mentioned about three weeks back. My grandson, Matthew is staying with us for the time being. He has asperger syndrome and though he's 15 years old, he is far more like a ten year old. Smart as a whip though and since he has been on a different medication this week, he's doing much better. Very calm and smiles and laughs so much more. Please keep him in your prayers dear followers. What I did want to say! I was afraid that hubby and I both just may get worn out with Matthew here, but things are really going great. We've enjoyed his stay and miss him when he goes home for a night or two on the weekends.
We went for an overnight stay in Myrtle Beach with a group from our church and went to SC Old Opry show. It was fantastic. We enjoyed some great meals while we were down there also, and the weather was wonderful. Hope to get back there as there is so much to see and do.
With the two pieces above all stitched up, I'm now back to working on "A Good Marriage" for my son's upcoming wedding in May. It's nice to be back on that and I'll have a picture of it for you next post.
Well my dear friends and followers. I do hope that you all will have a wonderful weekend. Love you all and you stay well and warm until next time. Remember to "Feel the Colors".

Your finishes are so pretty Ms. Linda. I really love the polka dotted material. Congratulations on your award.

Cathy~Thank you so much for the prayers. What a difference at this point with different meds. For the first time in a very long time, he seems light hearted and comfortable with himself. Thank you again, and you're a true friend.
DeleteThank you for the warm welcome, I look forward to seeing all your stitchy projects! I do have a blog, please pay a visit and tell me what you think :)
