A Pretty Walk

Yes.  Decided to start my walks this morning and while I was out, realized that the Quince shrubs are blooming,  One in my own front yard even.  Tiny but blooming! I find these to be such slow growers that I sometimes get discouraged.  Then I see others that are so big and beautiful and realize that it's worth the long wait.

Also saw all the Camellias in the neighborhood all in full bloom.  I think it's so neat that they bloom in January every year.  Just look at this one down the road.

Though it has dropped many leaves, it still has loads of big fat buds.

Wanted to show you that "It's All Good" is moving right along.  I actually have more done since taking this photo last night and will probably finish it up today.  I just have the border on the left side to do at this point.

I have also been enjoying making the scarves still and don't think I showed you a picture of my last one.  I must confess also that I didn't find a good selection here in town, so ordered three more skeins from "Beverly's".  Here's that last one I did.

We've had the wood stove ready to light for nearly two weeks now and haven't needed it! Supposed to dip down tonight though, so we just may have to seek the comfort it gives tomorrow morning.  We've had days in the low 70's even, but our cold season isn't over with yet.  I must say though, that we tend to be spoiled here!

I will let you, my dear followers go for this time around.  Matthew has gone with his mom this afternoon so I think I'll do some puttering around.  Until next time, please be well and be safe.  Love each and every one of you my dear friends and followers.  As always......"Remember to feel the colors".

    1. Well thank you so much. I too liked this black and white with the red one. I am indeed finished with the cross stitch piece. Took eight and a half total hours, and I do love it. Will post a picture of the finish next time. Thank you so much for stopping in.

  3. As usual, your pics of the pretty flowers brightened my day :-)

Here in Ontario, Canada, (with the windchill) it feels like 23℉ today. Even at this temp, I bundled up and went for my walk with the dog, and it was really beautiful since the sun was shining!

What a pretty scarf, and your x-s piece is really coming along. It won't be long until you're done, and then you'll get to start something new... yay!!! :-)

    1. Hi Tracey and glad I could brighten your day a little with the pictures. I must say girlfriend, that you must be a pretty dedicated doggy mom to be out walking in your cold temperatures.

The cross stitch piece is indeed all finished. I love the way it turned out and will be posting a picture of it next post. I'm going to do some work on my wedding cross stitch and maybe even get another quick piece going as well.

You have a wonderful evening and thank you for stopping in.

  5. Thank you so much Emma. It's unbelievable just how many color combinations they have all together with this yarn, and my problem is the fact that I love just about all of them! LOL

The cross stitch piece is done and I so enjoyed this one. Just love the colors.

    Thank you for stopping by.

    1. Thank you so much. I see you're on vacation. So happy for you. I see that some of my shrubs are starting to show signs of new leaves, but we're having 20 degree weather starting tomorrow. It will last for three days.
