TUSAL Time!

Yes! There are actually two new moons this month! Today and another on the 30th..  I ran across this when I went to look up the new moon dates for this new year, and went right for my camera!  So here's mine for this new moon.  Lot's of blues in this one.

Before I do go any further, I want to wish all of my dear friends and followers here a wonderful year ahead.  We were thrown a few curves in 2013, but we're doing great now, and had far more blessings than set backs.  We have a beautiful new daughter-in-law and our first great grand baby.  Bill healed well from his surgery and radiation treatments, and I healed well from our four car pile up.  God is so good.
Bill, our good friend Dave and my son and grandson, Guy and Matthew, participated in the Penguin Plunge today in Atlantic City.  Here's a picture of all four after they cam out of the water.  My son Guy told Matthew to put on the "freezing" face.  As a result, they do both look pathetic! All four did real well though.

Got in a little more time this morning on "Quaker Diamonds" and I have all day tomorrow to work on it as well.  I'm finding though, that after a couple of hours of the close work, things start to get blurry.  Maybe if I wore the Mag-Eyes all the while I stitched, I would see a difference.   I'll try that tomorrow.

Ya'll stay safe and well and until next time, don't forget to "feel those colors".

    1. Hi Sharon~I started saying, "feel the colors" just a few years back. I'm a real lover of colors and the thrill of just holding a few skeins of thread in my hands really made my heart smile. That's when I realized that one can actually "feel colors". So here's wishing you a year full of beautiful colors, and don't forget to "feel them".

  5. You looked very good with Santa Claus and you are getting stitching done that is the best thing. We have had bitter cold and more snow. I have stayed home today because of the cold and snow on the streets. we are to warm up tomorrow. I love the piece that you are working on now and I definitely love the one you made for your Bill. You take care. Many Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  6. Hey there Ma! I love this new cross-stitch. I've noticed that my eyes get very blurry after an hour or so of constant stitching. I need to get up and do other things for about 15 minutes before I go back to stitching. I enjoy your blogs and hope that you will continue to do them. As for me, I've started my blog back up again so go and check it out! I love you!

  7. The Polar Bear Plunge wouldn't be an issue in our area this year, but I know that the guys must have been freezing.

I love your cross stitch. I am hoping to find more time for cross stitch this year.

  8. Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting!

After a few years 'away' from cross stitch, my husband bought me the chart of a Norman Rockwell picture I want to stitch. I inherited several boxes of stranded cottons from his Grandmother (a keen stitcher and kindred spirit!) so I thought it would be lovely to use some of them - sadly I think there are only about a dozen colours that are suitable, so I shall still have to buy LOTS of threads! It's also rather a gargantuan undertaking, so I'm going into 'training' by doing a simpler cross stitch kit I picked up when I was over in New England last year.

Lovely to find your blog - I'm now 'following' and off to explore some of your other cross-stitch projects! :-)

    1. Welcome Sue and thank you so much for being a new follower. I hope you'll enjoy my posts and I'm thrilled with the fact that you're getting back to cross stitching again. Where in New England did you pick up your kit. I ask as I'm from NH originally. Keep us updated on your cross stitching and get to posting some pictures of your work. Have a wonderful new year and a year ahead full of beautiful colors.
