Back To My Blog Time!

This month of beautiful blessings.  Family.  Friends.  Get togethers. Church cantatas and plays.  Giving gifts and receiving gifts.  No need to go on.  Ya'll understand.  It is finally coming to an end, with a new year straight ahead. We've been so very busy.  The usual with the holiday on top.  I even have gifts that still aren't in the mail yet! My family loves me and understands though.  Another blessing for sure.
I've been putting the blogging off for too long now.  I really don't like not keeping up with what's happening with all my sweet friends and followers here.  I also like to keep ya'll updated on what's going on in our lives as well.
Now that Christmas is behind us, I can post a couple of pictures of gifts that I made.  First one is the stitched Serenity Prayer.  I did post it up to a point, but was afraid that my Bill would decide to drop in here for something different to do, and see the piece.  So here it is.  All finished and matted and framed.  He was so happy with it, and said that he always wondered if I would make him something.  Little did he know that the "something" was being made.  It took a total of 50 hours and 45 minutes.

Oh! Before I forget! I must show you a picture of Bill and I before Christmas! This was one of the things that kept me from my blog posting! I mean......I had a long list for Santa, and it took time!  We had so much fun getting this picture taken.  We were with our great friend Dave, and he was making Bill and I both laugh.  As my grandson says, "Everyone should know someone like Uncle Dave".

The other gift that I was working on, was this pillow below.  It was being made for Dave, and Dave does indeed keep up with my blogging.  So for sure, I couldn't post a picture of it before Christmas.  This turned out to be a good size pillow.  Only 13 total hours which included the finishing and all, but still made with lots of love in every stitch.  I'm pretty sure that Dave was quite pleased with it.

I do realize that autumn and its weather has passed.  Even though we got up close to 80 degrees this last week.  I do have a picture though, that I took in front of Matthew's school that I haven't posted.  I liked the fact that it was just simple and had some nice color in it.  It is the last of 2013's season of one of the Crepe Myrtles down here. I loved the way the sun just brightened the one leaf up.

Now my dear friends and followers.  I must let you go.  Please keep in touch. I have missed you all, and it is my wish that you all receive so many wonderful blessings during the new year that is now close by.
Be safe and well and until next time, don't forget to "feel the colors".  Love to you all and Happy New Year.
