As I sit here at my computer, I can see that it has started to rain. I was going to make a quick run to my friend's house to drop off a little gift, but with this chair set right in front of a small electric space heater, I'm warm and cozy as well as content. This situation has made me realize that there are so many things in our homes that we look forward to because they seem to comfort us. Right this minute, it seems to be the warmth of the heater for me. My coffee with my feet up and in my favorite chair is another comfort for me. It may be a hot bubble bath for some or maybe soft music and a glass of wine. Just last night, I made some Aussie Biscuit Treats, and Bill and I sat in front of the fire and had them with hot tea. At one point, I looked at Bill and with a big old smile on his face he said, "I'm liking this." Now that's comfort!
Our little space heater has been working overtime with the temps below 0. Although my dogs claim it as their own more often than not. :-)

ReplyDeleteWe've had space heaters on as well every now and then. We have a gas fireplace, but with the price of the propane this year, we didn't fill the tank. Glad it looks like it's going to be getting a little bit warmer.
