Pillow Finishes!

Believe me when I say that my feet hurt by the time I sat down last evening.  I had started the pillows about eight or so and didn't finish the sewing part of them until six.  I filled them after I sat down last night and hand sewed the last small seams which I had left opened so I could fill them.  The only one I'm not really happy with is the long spider one.  Love the fabric and all and I did want to keep the aida around it because I love the hand dyed job, but it may just be too big.  So I'm still thinking about it.  Here it is.  Not a nice finish at all.

Then there is this little pillow which was a quick and fun stitch.  I love how simple it is.  The black fabric actually has teeny tiny stars on it.

Then another fun and easy stitch but love the colors in it.

This one I've posted about before here, but it was waiting for all the others to be finished up.

Now for my favorite of all.  I think it has something to do with the greens and the contrast of colors.  I love greens.

Now for all of them together.

So that's what I did yesterday.  I will get out my autumn decorations and other pillows made last year so all can be displayed together.  I love, love, love fall.
I have time today to do some painting in the kitchen and dining area, and then this evening, I'll be able to get back to my stitching.  Tell me my dear followers.....What would we do without needles, fabrics and threads? Oh how creative we can be with all the beautiful colors.
I was wondering how many of my dear followers are enjoying some cooler fall weather.  I know that some of you live in the warmer parts of the south and are still dealing with very high temps.  Others are talking about having their first fire of the season and making soups and stews.  Nothing better than sitting back and watching your fire with a bowl of home made soup.  The soup warming both your belly and your hands.  Sounds good to me.
Will let you all go for now.  Please come back again and feel free to leave comments.  I have made it super easy to comment as I have said.  I removed all the having to type words and numbers programs.  That made it hard for everyone.
So until next time, be well and safe and of course, remember to feel the colors.  Love to each and every one of you.

    1. Hello Vicky and thank you for stopping by. I've been looking for a tutorial for the pillows for you but haven't seen one yet. They're very easy Vicky. It's basically cut strips and sew. Start out with same measurement on all four sides of your stitched piece. Cut two strips about 2 1/2" wide, and long enough to go on the top and bottom of the piece. Then measure the length of the piece and cut two more strips, same width and long enough to go on each side. Then with right sides facing, sew the back and front around three edges, and on the last edge, leave an opening long enough to put the stuffing in. I hope this helps some. They're quick and fun. You have a wonderful week and I'll continue to be on the lookout for that tutorial for you.
