I finished this scarf up yesterday and once again, I just love the color combinations. This one is from a skein of "Pinks". It's springy and bright. During the day, I'll usually do my cross stitching,
but will get my yarn out in the evenings and work on my scarves or sweaters and all. Something that doesn't require all my attention.
House has been busy yesterday and today. New windows all around and I'm loving them all ready. This old house had the original windows in and were a pain for sure. Some wouldn't open but a few inches and screens and storm windows were warped. It's like a whole new world out there now looking through new clear glass.
I've been doing some work on "Quaker Diamonds". This will be taking a while. I have a total of 14 hours into it now and here is what is accomplished. I love all the colors and haven't even used but a few of them so far.
I made a beet soup yesterday and it was so good. Mr. Bill woke up at two this morning and heated up another bowl of it. Didn't go back to bed though until he had a piece of cheesecake from the "Cheesecake Factory". I found that one in the frozen food section at a local grocery. It is so rich. Very good.
My dear friends and followers. I must let you go for this time around. In case I haven't mentioned it lately, I love it when you stop in for a visit. Love the comments and love getting to know each of you. Please come by often and I'm returning visits also.
Until next time, stay well and safe. Don't forget to "feel the colors".

ReplyDeleteyeah for the new windows to see outside. It is bitter cold here still, but the sun is shining so brightly today!! Spring has to be coming!
Shari!
DeleteSpring is indeed coming! Forsythia is in bloom here now. I love the bright yellow color!
These scarves are so addicting aren't they? There are just too many beautiful color combinations!
Loving these new windows. Seems like the world just opened up!
Thank you for stopping in.
Love your new scarf and you are right it springy and bright. Great start on Quaker Diamonds!
ReplyDeleteHappy Stitching
Denise
Well thank you Denise. Worked on the diamonds again this morning and about to go back to it. So many pretty colors in it.
DeleteThanks for stopping in girlfriend.
Pretty colors in your scarf. I've been eyeing that kind of "yarn" lately and thinking of giving it a try. Looks like a lot of fun. Happy stitching! :-)
ReplyDeleteI work mine up by knitting, but some prefer the crocheted pattern. I always use the Starbella. I find that it looks fuller when made up. If you do decide to give it a try, remember that we need pictures!
DeleteBeautiful scarf and stitching!
ReplyDeleteI haven't knitted in, literally, decades (and wasn't much of a knitter even then) but have wanted to make one of these. I finally found some yarn but haven't started it yet.
You go for it Rita. Just back and forth working with eight stitches until you get the length you want. Keep us posted now.
DeleteHi Linda!! Love your pretty scarf :) I also love the progress on Quaker diamonds so far. That is a beautiful design. So happy for you with your new windows! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are my friend,
Blessings!
Louise xx
Thank you so much Louise. I never even mentioned your pink scarf and I meant to. I just ordered three more skeins and one of them is pink. I thought it was so refreshing looking and so delicate.
DeleteI'm working one one motif at a time on the "Quaker Diamonds". There is so much detail! The colors are fantastic though and I'm enjoying the stitch.
You have a wonderful week my friend. Love you lots.
Oh! I forgot to mention...love, LOVE the stitched bunnies up top!!! :)
ReplyDeleteA very lovely lacey scarf. Hugs Judy
ReplyDeleteWell thank you so much Judy. They're fun to make and just when I think I have all the colors I want, they come out with more combinations!
DeleteLove your new scarf, congrats on the finish. Quaker looks very nice (I love Quakers!)
