Some Headway!

A beautiful week here in this area.  Sunny and warm and just a great week.  Bill's last full week of radiation.  He only has four days left! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  Every single one has been appreciated.  This was taken of Bill just three days ago while we were in a gift shop.

We did have a nice afternoon out that particular day and I got some great pictures with lots of colors! This one below makes me think of Carol over at
http://artandsand.blogspot.com/  She has a lovely blog.  Decorates beautifully and has tons of wonderful ideas.  Carol loves the primary colors.  This was

taken at the same shop that day.
I've gotten in more stitches on my current cross stitch piece.  Other colors other than the blues are showing up.  Enjoying the stitch.

Decided yesterday that on my way to Myrtle Beach, I would start a second shawl for myself.  The first one is so close to being done that it is nearly taking all of the room on the circular needle.  So I started the second one on straight needles and went as far as I could on the trip.  It's going to be good and bright.

I'll be "modeling" my first shawl in my next post for sure. These shawls work up fast and are very easy.  Just think of all of the color combinations out there!
Before I let you all go, I have to tell you that today was another great Sunday.  My Bill and I and our good friend Dave, went to the beach after church.  A good long walk along the water's edge.  Dave even waded in the water.  Yes! It was that warm! Just good company and good conversation.  Stopped for something to eat on the way home and then had coffee at Dave's.  I'm still stuffed by the way!  One last picture of the three of us.  No.  We weren't fishing, but offered to hold some fishing rods belonging to the man who offered to take the picture!

Now I must let you all go.  Thank you to all my dear friends and followers that have been so faithful by stopping in and leaving lovely comments.  Also, thank you to all for your wonderful thoughts and prayers over the last several months.  I am all healed up from our May accident and Bill is down to only four radiation treatments.
Until next post, please stay safe and be well.  Take just a minute each day and notice the colors all around you.  Then,,,,,"feel" them!

  5. Good Morning, I am glad when I read that things are progressing for you. It always makes you appreciate every day more and more. I had a wonderful weekend. Spent Saturday with my daughter and daughter-in-law, we started with lunch and then went to the Taste of Home Cooking Show. My cookbook was autograph by the chef who did everything from scratch. The German Chocolate cake looked so yummy. Got to see some of the beautiful trees. It was wonderful to have that change of scenery. Sunday I went to the nursing home to see hubby. The sun was shining and again today, but tomorrow it is back to the rain. I love the pictures. Many prayers and hugs being sent to you by your Missouri Friend.

The photo of you on the beach is precious. You look so happy.

From the date of the post, I assume that Bill's treatments are over and I hope he is doing well.

  11. I forgot to add that you have gotten me motivated to do some cross stitch and knitting. I picked up a baby sweater I started 2 years ago.
